Katie Hillyer Joins Wayne as COO: A New Era Begins!
We are excited to introduce a dynamic and accomplished leader to the Wayne Communications team. Katie Hillyer joined as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on August 14, 2023.
Katie brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in program growth, strategic execution, and leadership development. Adding Katie to our leadership team is a significant step forward in our mission to advance Wayne’s capabilities in providing streamlined technology to QSR clients.
About Katie Hillyer
Katie has built a diverse career-building program and is enhancing the effectiveness of teams. She began her career in public relations at Hellman, an Iowa-based advertising agency, before moving to the University of Northern Iowa College of Business, where she spent more than a decade building professional development programs, engaging in constituent relations, and serving as a strategic advisor to the dean. Key achievements in her time at UNI Business include recognition of the Professional Readiness Program® as a “best practice” in business education, the development and growth of the UNI Women in Business organization, and forming the college’s Office for Professional Distinction. Katie moved from higher education to banking, where she led Lincoln Savings Bank’s EOS program, managed corporate communications, and served as the right-hand to the CEO.
Katie is skilled in communication management, intuitive discernment of ideas and alternatives, and fostering collaborative, high-performing teams. She holds a BA in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa and an MBA from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. Katie’s addition to the Wayne leadership team reflects Wayne’s commitment to excellence and our pursuit of innovation in the QSR industry. She will undoubtedly play a significant role in shaping the future of our company.
